17th Meeting of the Brazilian Keynesian Association

This message is a reminder about the call for papers and extended abstracts for the 17th Meeting of the Brazilian Keynesian Association.

The deadline is approaching soon, on July 22, 2024. We are organizing everything in the best possible way and we count on the participation of all of you! Access https://www.even3.com.br/akb2024/ to submit your paper.

Soon we will have the complete program available. The AKB School (September 16-18) will feature classes and mini-courses on current topics that may be of great interest to undergraduate and graduate students. Our seminar (September 18-20) already has confirmed participation from Annina Kaltenbrunner (Leeds University), Mario Theodoro (UNB), Cristina Reis (UFABC, SPE/MF), and Paula Montagner (MTE) to discuss topics such as Public Policies, Development, Inequalities, and Sustainability.

We will also have special sessions with our institutional partners, such as the Association for Evolutionary Economics (AFEE), the Young Scholars' Initiative (YSI), Corecon-RJ, among others. It's important to note that:

  1. Presenters of papers accepted for the Meeting will receive accommodation;
  2. In addition to accommodation, student presenters can apply to receive transportation support from YSI/AKB (limited spots). We will soon announce the call;
  3. Students from UFAL and UFS can participate for free, and faculty members from these centers have special registration fees;
  4. The editorial board of the Brazilian Keynesian Review (BKR), the AKB journal, will select papers presented at the Meeting, and their authors will be invited to submit under special conditions (quick selection, fast tracking);
  5. Additionally, this year, the Journal of Political Economy of Development (REPD), of the Graduate Program in Economics (PPGE) of UFAL will also select specific papers from the AKB Meeting for invitation to submit under special conditions.
